These terms apply to purchases of existing original artwork from Kate Grimes Limited through this website or by email. Please read them together with our Delivery & Returns policy.

Our artwork

Each painting is an original artwork. Its materials, dimensions and included presentation are described on its product page.

Please check whether the painting is supplied framed, mounted or unframed. Where presentation options are offered, only the option you select is included.

We aim to photograph and describe artwork accurately. Colours can vary between screens, and photographs may not show every detail of the surface and texture. This does not affect your rights if an artwork is not as described.

Room-setting photographs illustrate how a painting might look in a space. Please use the stated dimensions to judge its size.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling. UK delivery is included in the artwork price.

For delivery outside the UK, please contact us before ordering. We will agree the shipping charge and total payable before you pay. Local import charges are explained in our Delivery & Returns policy.

You can pay using the methods available at checkout. Bank transfer may also be arranged by contacting us.

Full payment is required before dispatch. Please do not send payment card details by email.

Placing an order

Choose your artwork and any presentation option, add it to your basket, and review your order and contact details before completing payment.

For orders arranged by email, we will confirm the artwork, presentation, price and delivery arrangements before you pay.

Orders and correspondence are handled in English.

For website purchases, your order is accepted and a contract is formed when we send your order confirmation email. For purchases arranged by email, the contract is formed when we email you confirming acceptance.

If we cannot accept an order—for example, because a unique painting has already sold—we will let you know promptly and refund any payment taken.

If we discover a pricing or description error before accepting your order, we will explain it and let you choose whether to proceed on the corrected basis or cancel for a full refund.

Delivery

Paintings requiring no additional mounting or framing are normally dispatched within two working days of receiving payment. Where preparation is needed, we will agree the timetable before you order.

We will deliver within 30 days of accepting your order unless we agree a different delivery period with you.

The artwork remains our responsibility until you, or a person you nominate, receives it, unless you independently arrange a carrier that we have not offered.

Cancellations, returns and problems

For online and email purchases, you can cancel before delivery or within 14 days after receiving your painting, without giving a reason. After notifying us, you have a further 14 days to send it back.

For a change-of-mind return, you pay the return delivery costs. Refund arrangements and instructions are set out in our Delivery & Returns policy.

If an artwork is damaged on arrival, faulty or not as described, please contact kategrimes150@yahoo.com. Your statutory rights are unaffected by these terms.

Copyright

Buying a painting transfers ownership of the physical artwork to you. Copyright remains with the artist unless separately agreed in writing.

Purchase does not grant permission to reproduce the artwork for commercial purposes, sell reproductions or license its image.

We use the information you provide to process your purchase and deliver your artwork. Further details are in our Privacy Policy.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. This does not remove any mandatory consumer protections or rights to bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction that apply to you.

Changes to these terms will apply to future orders and will not alter an order already accepted.
